What is Bridge the GAP Camp?

Bridge the GAP Camp is a one-week day camp designed to help rising 5th graders transition smoothly from 4th to 5th grade. Often, students struggle to “bridge” from 4th to 5th grade due to increased responsibility, accountability, and coursework expectations. At GAP Camp, certified teachers guide students through engaging Math and Reading/Language Arts sessions while STEAM challenges and recreational activities foster teamwork, problem-solving, and social connections. GAP emphasizes both academic preparedness and personal growth, ensuring students start their intermediate school journey confidently while providing a unique and exciting recreational experience.

  • Who is GAP Camp for?
Bridge the GAP Camp is open to any student entering 5th grade in the Fall of 2025. GAPplicants should be students who are highly motivated to learn, think, and solve problems.
  • What if my child is homeschooled or is still considered an "elementary" student in 5th grade?
We use grade level equivalents in determining a student's eligibility to attend. Anyone going into 5th grade would benefit from the different aspects GAP Camp offers. Leadership, teamwork, and social skills are valuable anywhere, anytime! If you have any additional questions, please contact us.
